Carpenters and joiners both work with wood, but each has their specialisms. A joiner creates the custom product in a workshop or on-site by 'joining' the pieces of wood together. A carpenter will then fit the items that the joiner has created on-site. Carpenters also work on the construction of larger wood structures such as roof trusses.
It depends on the size and the type f your design. Custom doors usually take a couple of days to produce, while large fitted wardrobes and bookcases will take significantly longer.
Sometimes it is possible to build your furniture directly on-site. Most of the times, however, it would be built in the joiner's workshop, delivered to your property and fitted by one of our carpenters.
Our joiner will provide you with a fixed quote for building your custom furniture item based on the size, the materials and the quality of the finish. Our carpenters charge £50 per hour.
We are trying to keep our pricing as transparent as possible. However, sometimes our carpenters might charge you for the cost of parking if there is no free parking available.
Our joiners and carpenters cover Cental, North West and North London, including Victoria, Westminster, Swiss Cottage, Camden Town, Hampstead, Wembley, Edgware and Barnet.
